胡恩恩博士是拉萨尔艺术学院（LASALLE），新加坡艺术大学（University of the Arts Singapore）的教授，也是《点心侠》系列书籍和应用程式的创作者。她的作品曾在Netflix、HBO、App Store、Google Play Store、新加坡航空、东京国际影展和圣塞巴斯提安国际影展上发布或放映。
李文良先生擅长通过图画讲故事，他的插画短篇故事自2008年开始在网络上广泛传播。在2017年，他成功通过众筹出版了第一本图画书。此后，他在新加坡、中国、台湾、韩国和泰国出版了超过10本图画书和1本小说改编的作品。
Profile
Dr Woo Yen Yen is Programme Leader at LASALLE University of the Arts, Singapore, and creator of the Dim Sum Warriors books and app. Her work has been on Netflix, HBO, the App Store, Google Play Store, Singapore Airlines, and presented at the Tokyo International Film Festival, and San Sebastian International Film Festival. Mr Josef Lee tells stories through pictures. His illustrated short stories have been shared online since 2008. In 2017, Mr Lee successfully published his first picture-book via crowdfunding. Since then, he has published over ten picture-books and one novel adaptation, in Singapore, China, Taiwan, Korea and Thailand. Follow him on IG @joseflee.stories

Synopsis
How can parents avoid children developing a negative relationship with the Chinese language? To address this issue, the speakers identify and discuss five top insights on raising confident bilingual readers and writers.
In this practical and insightful talk, the speakers draw upon a combination of research findings on literacy development and second language acquisition. The talk will also share Dr Woo’s rich, personal experience of her journey in witnessing her daughter’s upbringing in diverse linguistic environments in New York, Taiwan, and Singapore, and both Mr Lee and Dr Woo’s experience as creators of Chinese-English books. Expect to reflect on your own approach to bilingualism, to discover research-based recommendations, and to leave with numerous practical tips.
