王珮盈女士是万态保育集团教育部门的高级经理，负责策划家庭、教育工作者和学校团体的华文活动，并开发相关的教学资源。她在户外教育、实践学习和教师培训方面拥有超过十年的经验。最近，她为学前华文教育工作者设计了关于新加坡动物园的线上专业发展培训，以及新系列的家庭学习工作坊。这些培训与工作坊不仅以动物为灵感，还着重以有趣和互动的方式使用华文，让学前儿童乐学华文。
Profile
Ms Ong Peiying is a Senior Manager of the Education Department at Mandai Wildlife Group. She is responsible for conceptualising Chinese programmes and resources for families, teachers, and school groups. Ms Ong has more than ten years of experience in outdoor education, experiential learning, and teacher engagement. Her most recent projects include designing virtual professional development workshops for Chinese pre-school educators, as well as a new series of family learning workshops at the Singapore Zoo. These workshops draw inspiration from animals, and emphasise the use of the Chinese language in a fun and interactive manner, allowing preschoolers to enjoy learning Chinese.

《穿山甲为什么要过马路？》讲述了一只野生穿山甲被救起并带到新加坡动物园接受治疗的真实故事。在这个互动工作坊中，王珮盈女士将利用这个资源激发孩子们对学习母语的兴趣，提高他们的社交情感能力。她将与教育工作者和家长分享活动指南，鼓励家长善用园区空间及相关资源，使语言学习变得生动活泼。
Synopsis
“Why did the pangolin cross the road?” Find out in this interactive workshop, which features a true story of wild pangolin that was rescued and brought to Singapore Zoo for treatment by the vet. Through this story, we explore creative ways to get children excited about learning the mother language and at the same time enhance their social-emotional competencies. We will also share an activity guide with educators and parents to empower them to use our parks and resources to make language learning come alive.
